When you register for a BizBharat Pro account, we collect personal information that you voluntarily provide to us, including but not limited to your full name, email address, mobile phone number, business name, business address, Goods and Services Tax Identification Number (GSTIN), Permanent Account Number (PAN), and any other information you choose to provide during the registration or account setup process.

1.2 Business Data

In the course of using our Service, you may input, upload, or generate business-related data including product inventories, customer records, invoices, financial transactions, payment records, purchase orders, expense reports, and other business operational data. This data is stored on our cloud servers.

1.3 Automatically Collected Information

We automatically collect certain technical information when you access or use our Service, including your device type, operating system, browser type, IP address, device identifiers, pages visited, features used, time spent on specific functions, crash reports, and general usage patterns. This information helps us improve our Service and provide better user experiences.

1.4 Cookies and Tracking Technologies

We use cookies, web beacons, and similar tracking technologies to collect information about your browsing activities on our platform. You can control cookie preferences through your browser settings. Essential cookies required for the operation of the Service cannot be disabled.

2. How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect for the following purposes:

• To provide, operate, maintain, and improve the BizBharat Pro platform and all its features including billing, inventory management, GST compliance, rule-based smart insights, and WhatsApp invoice sharing.
• To create and manage your user account, authenticate your identity, and process subscription payments through our payment partners.
• To enable the AI Business Brain features including Business Health Score calculation, Dead Stock Detection and Customer Credit Scoring. These are processed on our servers; no third-party AI service receives your business data.
• To synchronize your business data between your local device and our cloud servers, ensuring data availability across multiple devices and providing backup protection.
• To send you transactional communications such as account confirmations, technical notices, security alerts, billing reminders, and support messages.
• To send you marketing communications about new features, promotions, and updates, which you can opt out of at any time.
• To comply with applicable laws, regulations, and legal processes including GST filing requirements and other statutory obligations.
• To detect, prevent, and address fraud, security breaches, and other potentially illegal or prohibited activities.

3. Data Storage and Security

3.1 Security Measures

We implement industry-standard security measures to protect your information, including TLS encryption in transit, role-based access controls (owner, admin, staff), and automated backup systems. However, no method of electronic storage or transmission is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

3.2 Data Retention

We retain your data while your account is active. After your account is closed, we delete your business data within 90 days. We retain our own billing records for your subscription (invoices and payment records) for the period required by law: 72 months from the due date of the annual return under Section 36 of the CGST Act, 2017, and eight financial years under Section 128(5) of the Companies Act, 2013. To close your account, email support@bizbharatpro.com from your registered email address.

4. Data Sharing and Disclosure

We do not sell, trade, or rent your personal information or business data to third parties. We may share your information only in the following circumstances:

• Service Providers: We share data with trusted third-party service providers who assist us in operating our platform, including cloud hosting providers, payment processors (Razorpay), email delivery services, and analytics tools. These providers are contractually obligated to protect your data.
• Legal Obligations: We may disclose your information if required to do so by law, regulation, legal process, or governmental request, including compliance with GST authorities, income tax departments, or other regulatory bodies.
• Business Transfers: In the event of a merger, acquisition, or sale of all or a portion of our assets, your information may be transferred as part of the transaction.
• With Your Consent: We may share your information with third parties when you have given us explicit consent to do so.

5. Your Rights and Choices

You have the following rights regarding your personal information:

• Access: You can request a copy of the personal data we hold about you.
• Correction: You can update or correct inaccurate personal information through your account settings or by contacting us.
• Deletion: You can request deletion of your personal data, subject to legal retention requirements.
• Data Portability: You can export your business data in standard formats (CSV, JSON) at any time through the platform's export functionality.
• Opt-Out: You can opt out of marketing communications at any time by clicking the unsubscribe link in any marketing email or adjusting your notification preferences.

6. Children's Privacy

BizBharat Pro is a business platform designed for use by adults (18 years of age or older) who own or manage businesses. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under the age of 18. If we become aware that we have collected personal information from a child under 18, we will take steps to delete such information promptly.

7. International Data Transfers

Your information may be transferred to and processed in countries other than your country of residence, where data protection laws may differ. We ensure that all international data transfers are conducted in compliance with applicable data protection regulations and that appropriate safeguards are in place.

8. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our practices, technology, legal requirements, or other factors. We will notify you of any material changes by posting the updated policy on our platform with a revised "Last Updated" date and, where appropriate, by sending you a notification via email or in-app message. Your continued use of the Service after such changes constitutes your acceptance of the updated Privacy Policy.
